Due to the current COVID-19 situation we have taken the decision to cancel all work experience placements at the Trust until at least the end of August 2020.

What is work experience?

Work experience can play an important part in shaping your future career ideas and will give you invaluable experience of a work environment.  You can apply for either a clinical or non-clinical placement.

Clinical placements are for those aged 16+ and considering a career as a healthcare professional e.g. Doctor, Nurse, Physiotherapists, Radiographer.

Non-clinical placements are for those aged 15+ and interested in one of the many non-medical careers offered in the NHS e.g. Administrator, Estates & Facilities, Medical Records.

How can I apply?

Requests for work experience must come via your School or College and due to the high demand for places within our trust, we will only give placements to students within our catchment area. We do not reply to direct requests from students.

All requests for work experience must be submitted by a student’s School/College by the end of November of each academic year.
