Tuesday 5 March 2019
Peaches Restaurant, Andover War Memorial Hospital, SP10 3LB
Talk starts at 6.30pm (refreshments from 6pm)
Work being carried out to expand the Countess of Brecknock Hospice will be the subject of an upcoming health focus talk taking place at Andover War Memorial Hospital.
Building work is well under way to expand the hospice, which is on the site of Andover hospital and run by staff from Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. An extension will seamlessly connect with the current building and include 10 single en-suite inpatient rooms, a relative’s room, a quiet room, therapy room and a large reception/visitors area with direct access to gardens, adding to the facilities already available.
Sarah McGaughey, clinical matron for the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, will talk about the exciting plans and give an update on the expansion project at a health focus event taking place in Peaches Restaurant at Andover War Memorial Hospital on Tuesday 5 March. Refreshments will be available from 6pm, with the talk beginning at 6.30pm.
During the event, there will be an opportunity to view the plans, as well as hear about the difference that the redevelopment will make for both patients and staff and the fundraising efforts taking place to make it happen.
Health focus talks are free and an opportunity for patients and the public to hear hospital experts talk about their specialist area of health, meet the Trust’s management team and ask questions.
