2020 has been designated as the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, to commemorate the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale. Join us in our year-long celebration of our brilliant nursing and midwifery staff.
We will be shining a light on the largest workforce in the NHS, and celebrating the skills, compassion and dedication of the nurses and midwives who make HHFT so special. We’ll also be using this as an opportunity to say a big thank you for the incredible impact they make every day to the lives of our patients and their families.
Along the way, members of team HHFT will share what it’s like to be on the front line of care, how they got to where they are, and how you can begin your career working alongside some of the very best.
As well as having a team of nursing and midwifery staff we are proud of, we will be celebrating our special connection to the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale, who was involved in designing parts of the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester.
Watch this space for more details and what to look forward to this year.
