Since the publication of our last Clinical Strategy in 2019, Hampshire Hospitals has been through an unprecedented period of change – from the Hampshire Together programme and the COVID-19 pandemic, to the creation of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System.
With this in mind, we have worked with teams across our organisation to develop a new strategy which focuses on our plans for the future and more accurately reflects our ambitions and strategic position of HHFT.
The strategy has been co-developed by our clinical and operational teams with our patients, staff and system partners. It has been structured to emphasise that our patients are always our top priority. It is underpinned by our CARE values and describes the key areas of focus over the next seven years, as well as what we will aim to achieve through successful implementation of the strategy.
We want to make sure that our strategy is guided by the people who are at the heart of HHFT, and this includes you. Throughout November and December 2021, we asked for feedback and comments on our draft clinical strategy for 2021-2028 and gave you the opportunity to help shape how we provide healthcare to the people of North and Mid Hampshire, now and in the future.
We will use your feedback to refine our clinical strategy, a strategy that will drive decision making and steer us in the right direction to achieve our vision of delivering outstanding care to every patient and the words on these pages will lead to real action.
The final strategy will be published in early 2022, and we are very much looking forward to sharing this with you, and working with teams across our hospitals and beyond to make this vision a reality.
Thank you very much for your continued support, as we work together to build a community of CARE.
